NACPF Conference and a Long Weekend Recap

Last Wednesday I had the privilege to travel to Raleigh, NC for the NACPF Unite Conference. NACPF stands for the North American Church Planting Foundation. The NACPF has church plants and partners around the United States. Crosspoint is one of the churches that partners with them. During the conference there were main sessions and breakouts held by the various pastors. The sessions varied in topic from satellite churches, discipleship, to women's roles in church planting.  The conference was also full of networking with a lot of like minded church leaders. It was a great few days of learning. I am thankful for these leaders who love the Lord and desire to lead their churches in a way that is biblical and God honoring.
Another perk of working at Crosspoint is having best friends who work at a church that is in the same network. This leads to mini reunions!! Dustin is the music minister at Cornerstone Church in Myrtle Beach, SC. Dustin, Gray's best friend from childhood, married one of my best friends Avery in September! So-Gray and I were both thrilled to get to spend some time them!! We love y'all! (Shout-out to the Raley's)

We got back from the conference around 1:30am on Friday morning, so needless to say, we were pretty tired and ready for a LONG weekend!

Gray and I both love Fall. It is by far our favorite season for so many reasons...flannel, plaid, boots, cooler weather (only Gray likes this part), pumpkins, football, and right around the corner comes Thanksgiving. Every year since we have been together we have gone on a "Fall themed" date! This year was no different. :) Gray and I set out on Saturday with a picnic lunch to Skytop Orchard! We had a great lunch, picked some apples, and enjoyed the beautiful fall day. The ride to and from the orchard was awesome! I love to see the leaves change colors this time of year. When we got home Gray was the chef for the evening. He made a yummy grilled chicken dinner and a HOMEMADE apple pie from our freshly picked apples. Thankful for that man. :)
Skytop Orchard- gorgeous!!

the beginning of our collection!
We spent Sunday with our church family, and then used Monday to clean, rest, and organize our lives for the week since we had the day completely off. It was wonderful. Tuesday we kicked off the week in full force and haven't slowed down since!

On Thursday we had a social with the other staff on Generation LINK. We all got together and went to a Corn Maze! I have never been to a corn maze before, so I had no idea what to expect! We had a really good time. I love the other Generation LINK staff so it was fun just getting to hang out with them  with out it being in a work type environment!

My sweet friend Krystal. Love her so much!

Today Gray and I went to the Clemson game to watch us beat VA Tech! WOO HOO!! Gray's mom and sister came into town to watch the game as well. We ate dinner with them last night in Greenville and saw them for a few minutes during half time today. It was great getting to spend a little time with them!

Tonight we are going to relax and enjoy a Saturday night with not much to do! Hope you have a great evening! :)

  1. Great post! Do you have any notes from the break out about women's role in church planting (if you went to that breakout)? Interested in what they said...

    1. Thanks! I actually do not, sorry! I wish i did! I did go to the session but it was really small and more of a conversation instead of teaching with notes and stuff. I would be happy to send you the email of the woman who is currently a woman in church planting. Her name is Abby and she is at Redemption Hill in Boston. She was super nice and I am sure would be happy to email back and forth with you any questions you may have! :) Let me know!!
