Playing Catch Up- Feb & March Update!

Hi! I've neglected updating the ole' Gardner blog lately so i'm gonna try to recap the last two months in a post full of pics!
My sister-in-law Ashley got engaged in January! We received her save the date in the mail in February and were both asked to be in her wedding! We are very excited for Ashley and Kenny and can't wait to celebrate them on June 8th!
One of my very best friends Rebecca also got engaged in January! I was so pumped to get this sweet card in the mail asking me to be a bridesmaid! I can't wait to be apart of her and Thomas' special day on June 15th!!
Gray and I celebrated our first married Valentines Day! He got me a lovely bouquet of roses and I got him a box of chocolates... He ate the ENTIRE BOX in one sitting. This is how he has earned the name "Cookie Monster!" I had to snap a picture really quick....isn't he so cute?!?! ;-)
We celebrated my 23rd birthday one week later on February 20th! I was woke up to "Faithfully" by Journey playing from the kitchen and this set up! Anyone who knows me well knows that I am a sucker for 80's love music and food so this was perfect for me!

I am very thankful and blessed by the precious man I get to call my husband! :)
Another great surprise for my birthday was this AWESOME cake! My dear friend Kayla surprised me with the cake at our CP group on my bday! This is seriously the best cakes i've ever had! It looked awesome and tasted even better! Thank you Kayla! I love you friend!!
I had to get a few angles of this masterpiece

The artist/baker behind the cake, Kayla!
We made a little trip to Texas! We had a great time of getting away for a few days and reconnecting with some old friends!
Enjoyed a little stroll with these two!
This is how my cookie monster replies when I tell him I have a treat for him after dinner....He makes life so fun.
Gray rockin' his $1 antique shades! Such a good little find..

This week Gray and I are on SPRING BREAK! We don't have after school care this week because of spring break so we thought we might as well take a few days off from Crosspoint as well! Needless to say, we have been resting and soaking up our little at home vacation!

Gray and I are currently trying to figure out what our next move is! We recently stepped down from leading Summer LINK India because of where we are at in life right now. After much prayer and consideration, it seemed that looking for jobs right now would be the wisest decision. This was definitely a hard conclusion for us to come to because we both have such a strong desire to do some kind of overseas mission! Hopefully one day, Lord willing, we will be able to so!

As far as jobs go- Gray and I are both applying, interviewing and trusting the Lord to lead us. This has been a tough season for me because I do not like ambiguity. I am such a planner and the "unknown" does not settle very easily with me! God is really teaching me during this time to trust in him and not to worry. When I find myself focusing too much on what i'll be doing three months from now I have to take a few steps back and trust God with today. It also helps that I can look back on my life and see Gods faithfulness over and over again. We serve a faithful, faithful God.

Hopefully my next post will come a whole lot sooner than this one! :)
